NUTLEY, NJ -- The Independent Wrestling Federation has built a remarkable reputation not only for training aspiring professional wrestlers but also for its ongoing commitment to cancer awareness and support.

On June 7, 2026, the IWF Wrestling School organized a training seminar that contributed $504 to the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation (GNCF), bringing the total donations for the year to $4,793. These funds help provide essential support to those affected by cancer, demonstrating how sports organizations can play a vital role in community health initiatives.

This seminar added to an impressive total of $60,835 donated to cancer-related causes since 2012, including contributions to the American Cancer Society. The school’s dual mission of developing wrestling talent and supporting cancer survivors highlights a unique blend of sports, community and charity.

The instruction was led by IWF Head Coach Master of Chaos Kevin Knight, Hall of Fame wrestlers The Heavyweight Sean Royal and Perfect Ten Tommy Trouble, and IWF Announcer Mike Leotis. The seminar was made possible by the Nutley Recreation Department and Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.

The School’s Role in Cancer Awareness and Support

The IWF Wrestling School’s commitment to cancer awareness is a defining part of its legacy. The federation has raised significant funds for the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to cancer survivors and families who have lost loved ones to cancer. Supporting Cancer Survivors Through Wrestling

By involving the wrestling community in charitable activities, the IWF Wrestling School fosters a culture of care and responsibility. This approach benefits not only those affected by cancer but also the wrestlers and fans who participate in these events.

Looking Ahead: Continuing the Legacy

The IWF Wrestling School plans to continue its dual mission of training wrestling professionals and supporting cancer awareness. Future seminars and events will build on the success of past fundraisers, aiming to increase donations and expand outreach.
