The Way You Make Me Feel

One of my favorite things to do is attend concerts. In my opinion, there is nothing like live performance. One of my favorite bands, Sixx: A.M. played at The Sands in Bethlehem, PA not too long ago, and I went to see them for the very first time. They blew me away; the connection that they had with the crowd and the energy that each member bought to the venue was unmatched by anything I had ever seen, but the person that really caught my eye was James Michael, their lead singer.

I have been to many concerts, but there is no one that enjoys being on stage like James Michael. He gave it his all to make that night special for every fan in attendance, and he is undeniably one of the most talented people I have ever laid my eyes on.

As part of the audience, you could feel the amount of fun and happiness Michael was enjoying through every lyric he sang and every movement he made. After the show, the band tweeted that they would be doing a live acoustic set in the back of the venue to surprise the fans. As James Michael walked along the guard rail singing “Life is Beautiful,” he shook my hand. He has probably shaken countless numbers of fan’s hands, but that was a moment I will never forget. I was in awe to have just been in his presence that night, but for him to shake my hand meant a lot to me.

As a wrestler, it is my goal to have a lasting effect on the people that I come into contact with. I want to make the fans feel the way that James Michael made me feel on that night. From the second my music hits and I walk through the curtain, I want to make the fans feel a positive emotion; I want you to be surprised, anxious, happy, and excited when you see me in the ring because that is the way you make me feel when you chant my name, wear my shirt, or run up to the guard rail to shake my hand. I want to return the amazing energy that all of the fans give to me every time I wrestle. The way the roar of the crowd can make an individual feel is indescribable, but I will do whatever it takes to return the favor.
